Preparations took place at the Townhall Hotel and Apartments in East London; amazing rooms decorated in an art deco style. A perfect backdrop for a very stylish couple! Their room even came with it’s own kitchen, very handy! As this was an elopement, the lovely couple got ready together! This lovely couple were keen to include the hotel in some of their portraits, as it has such a unique style. I had spotted the hotel bar and thought it would be a great spot for some pre-ceremony shots as it suited their style perfectly. The shot below is my favourite from the day. They make such a stylish and timeless couple! The shot below is another of my favourites. Then it was off to Islington Town Hall for the ceremony. Even though I live five minutes away, this was my first time shooting here. This is the second Elopement I have photographed and they are always incredibly special. Samuel and I were witnesses, which is such an honour!Such a beautiful bride! After the ceremony we headed off to a little back street behind Upper Street for a few portraits. There is something so wonderful about two people deciding to plan a wedding just for two. I love how this wonderful couple incorporated their own sense of style and personality into their day, making it just about them. It was such a privilege to be invited to document this intimate wedding, and even more of a privilege to be asked to be a witness; the day was simply wonderful. I feel so lucky to do this job every day.
Lots more weddings coming to the blog soon including Emily and Hassan’s beautiful Sussex wedding! xx
