I started my coverage with Ben; he was getting ready on his own before Charlotte and the girls headed up to the room. Loved his accessories!
Charlotte made this bow for her Vivien of Holloway dress and it worked perfectly! Charlotte and Ben had a spotty theme to the day, with lots of guests wearing spotted attire!
During the run up to their wedding, Charlotte and Ben had told me that they were going to walk down the aisle together (such a lovely idea!), so they decided they wanted to do a First Look and see each other before the ceremony. This allowed us to also do all their portraits before the day’s events kicked off. Ben had picked up the balloons (which belonged to the little Bridesmaids and Page Boys) to take to the ceremony, and they were lots of fun during the portraits!
Here he is waiting for Charlotte…
I loved the felt flowers as an alternative to a traditional button hole!Love how they walked down the aisle together!Love the way Charlotte's Mum is looking at her! Then it was off to the Cape restaurant and bar in Nottingham. Charlotte and Ben had used different children's books as table names. Such a great idea! Charlotte and Ben had made all the bunting and jam for the favours. They had also used individual images of all their guests for the table plan. Everyone loved it!Love this idea as an alternative to a guest book! Instead of a signing a book, guests left a fingerprint and signed their name on the tree. Charlotte and Ben had also left out paper and a typewriter so guests could leave them messages.Following a relaxed afternoon, guests gathered round for some games! Then it was a battle of strength between the French (Charlotte's friends) and the English (Ben's friends) boys! The chairs were removed and the boys had to stay upright for as long as possible. Whoever fell first, of course lost! I'm afraid to say the French boys won!I think you can gather this was one really fun wedding! Charlotte and Ben's wedding day completely reflected their fun, laid back personalities, and everyone had an amazing time. There were tears shed and lots of laughter, and I couldn't be happier for this lovely couple. I loved all the personal touches to their day and the way they really made sure everyone had a great time. Charlotte and Ben are an absolute pleasure to be around and I couldn't be more grateful to work with such wonderful couples!
