Fetcham Park is a very special place; it was my second time shooting there and you really can't help but be inspired by it's historical charm and understated grandeur. It's cozy, warm and intimate; quite simply, it feels like you are walking into a home. But Laura and her incredible staff are the heart and soul of the place. They care for their suppliers like no one else; making you feel welcome, looked after, and above all, special. I am so grateful to them. Their passion shines through. A special mention must also go to Anna MacDougall of Bride & Glory, for keeping everything on track. Anna is so lovely and she really cares about every aspect of your wedding day. It was our second time working together and I throughly enjoyed her company once again! Last but not least, Katrina's dress was a Suzanne Neville from Miss Bush Bridal.
Fetcham Park has very intimate and low lighting and even more so in winter. This is part of it's charm, and I feel it's important to embrace this rather than fight it. The challenge of the lighting adds to the richness of the images you can create in this venue.
There was a whole host of amazing suppliers working on Katrina & Richard's day, and funnily enough I have worked with all of them before! The incredible food was by Kalm Kitchen, a real favourite of mine (their food is delicious)! The stunning blooms were by another favourite of mine, Bloomingayles. We've worked together a lot and she never fails to impress and inspire me. Gayle is magic! Makeup and hair by the lovely and talented Carolanne Armstrong; everyone looked stunning. It was also great to work with Clark & Palmer Wedding Films again; the most unobtrusive videographers and incredibly nice guys to boot. Check them out!
A special mention must go to The Wedding Reporter; it was my first time working with these lovely ladies. This is a truly unique and special service; I strongly recommend you have a look at their website...they will provide you with a beautifully written account of your wedding day.
I got the most wonderful thank you from Katrina & Richard upon seeing their images. I am so grateful; thank you! "These are amazing! Thank you, thank you, thank you! We’ve just watched the slideshow together and got all teary!! We absolutely love them, you’ve captured everything so beautifully and it was so lovely to see parts of the day we missed..."
I hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year...I am just working on a stunning London elopement I shot over the festive period (coming to the blog soon), and then I will be doing my favourite images of 2016 post. Keep a look out! I haven't had a chance to blog nearly as much or as many weddings as I would like to, so this is a great opportunity to show you what I've got up to this year. It's been a great wedding season. 2017 is promising to be wonderful; I have lots of weddings all over the UK, as well as destination weddings in Germany, Provence & Lake Como. Here's to a great year ahead! xx
