Jacquie and Tom held their intimate wedding at The Bath Priory; a luxury hotel, restaurant and spa in Bath. It's such a quaint, relaxing little place with wonderful service. It was the perfect place for Jacquie and Tom's elegant wedding. On top of all that we had wonderful weather and gorgeous light! Jacquie and Tom decided to have no guests at the ceremony and for it to just be a special moment between the two of them. As a result, Samuel and I had the honour of being their witnesses and signing the register! This is the second time I have done this and it really is a privilege. To be the only guests during the ceremony is very special and although it was just the two of them there was so much emotion, it was absolutely wonderful to capture.
Because Jacquie and Tom planned to arrive together at the Registry Office, they decided to have a First Look prior to the ceremony. I love it when couples do this; it's wonderful to photograph, as you are able to capture all those special moments when the bride and groom see each other for the first time. It also allows you to grab a few portraits before the rest of the day's events kick off. The look on their faces when they saw each other was amazing and I am so glad they have a record of it to look back on!
Jacquie and Tom are such a perfect fit together. It's plain to see in the way they look at each other and the way they laugh together. They are so clearly head over heels in love and they both were beaming throughout the entire wedding day. Every time I looked over at them they were laughing and smiling. I absolutely loved photographing their wedding; they were game for everything I suggested and were as enthusiastic as me...well almost...not many people get quite as excited as I do by beautiful light. But they did a good job of sharing in my excitement! Jacquie and Tom are two of the loveliest people to spend time with, and Jacquie always laughed at my terrible jokes much to Samuel's embarrassment!
A big thank you to Jacquie and Tom for inviting me to photograph their wedding, for the yummy meal and for always being so happy and wonderful to be around. xxOh yes...Jacquie had two pairs of shoes! The dress was Luscious by Suzanne Neville. It looked incredible and I loved the detail Jacquie added around the waist (see the photos further down). It comes with detachable straps and Jacquie chose to wear it strapless which looked amazing.
Kathryn of Powder and Paint did Jacquie's makeup. She did a wonderful job.
The guys went for a dip and we noticed them heading back to the hotel!
Jacquie's smile is utterly infectious and the camera loves her. She's incredibly photogenic.
The guys were getting ready down the hall so I grabbed a few shots of them too.
I love this shot of Tom!
Isn't Jacquie stunning?!
Jacquie's sister did her hair and she did a fantastic job.
Dress time!
I love this shot of Jacquie's sister watching the action.
Always happy, always smiling! Was such a pleasure to photograph!
Loved the flower detail.
The girls helped Jacquie downstairs where Tom was waiting for the First Look.
Photographing a First Look (where the couple see each other for the first time before the ceremony) is so wonderful. I could just feel Tom's excitement as he waited for Jacquie. I love the happiness in this series.
I think the shot below is my favourite in the sequence.
We then headed to the Registry Office for the ceremony.
I love this moment between Jacquie and Tom whilst waiting for the registrar.
The all important marriage certificate in Tom's hand!
Jacquie and Tom had factored in time for us to get lots of lovely portraits of the two of them, both in Bath and back at the venue, before they met up with their guests. This meant we could get all their photos done before the afternoon's events started!
They made my job very easy as you can see...
Another favourite below. We were so lucky to have such amazing light.
This is Jacquie's Grandad.
Jacquie changed into another gorgeous dress so we grabbed a few shots before the sun went down.
They had a magician during the meal; he was a real hit with the guests!
The cake went down a storm!
Feel free to leave some love for the happy couple. I couldn't have had a better time with Jacquie and Tom! xx
