The Heirloom...Beautiful Wedding Albums

I've been receiving some beautiful albums lately. I'll be honest and say that it does break my heart a little to give them away. But I take comfort in the fact that they are going to really good homes where they will be treasured and looked after for the years to come! In this post I will focus on two recent albums I have received. One is for Vikki and Scott's wedding and the other for Emily and Pete's wedding.

When designing albums for clients I always like to opt for designs which employ lots of white space to frame the images, and designs which are simple, clean, all about the images, and above all timeless. It is so important that these albums will stand the test of time. Each album is individually designed to best tell the story of your day.

First up is an album from Vikki and Scott's wedding. This is a 14x11 Jorgensen Matted Art Album. It contains images which are printed and then mounted. This album has a Buckram cover in Spearmint. The mounted album is the ultimate in classic and timeless style.

undefinedUnlike previous samples I've shown, the Art album has no metal corners for a sleek and elegant feel.undefinedI always try to design the album so that each image leads on to the next to tell the story of the day.undefinedI always like to dedicate a few spreads to some portraits of the happy couple! undefinedundefined Emily and Pete chose a brown leather cover with a small cut out image. This album is also 14x11 inches. The great thing about Jorgensen are the endless options for customizing your album to your personal taste, as well as your wedding. This album is 23 pages/46 sides. Emily and Pete opted to add an extra 8 pages/16 sides to their album.

undefinedLike the album above, this too is a Matted Art album. I love the square spine and sleek pages.undefinedThe Jorgensen albums have an option to include a translucent flyleaf when you open the album. This allowed Emily and Pete to include the design from their wedding stationary. This adds a lovely personal touch to their album.  undefinedundefinedundefinedundefined If you are interested in seeing some albums in person, do let me know. Photos are no substitute for seeing the albums up close!

If you are a photographer, I must say that Jorgensen and SWPM (the UK based supplier and company which assemble the albums) are fantastic. Their customer service is excellent and they go above and beyond to help you achieve the end result you are looking for. The staff really know their stuff and have helped to really personalise albums for my clients.
