Vanessa and Andrew’s wedding weekend in Geneva was very special to be a part of. I remember so much laughter, happy tears, smiles and hugs. Their wedding was filled to the brim with love and capturing it was just wonderful. The range of emotion at their wedding was incredible to see and I really enjoyed documenting it for them both. Like Vanessa and Andrew, their friends and family are incredibly special and made us feel so welcome. We spent a lot of time with them over the weekend and everyone made us feel so welcome and at home. While driving Samuel and me to the church for the rehearsal, I remember Vanessa’s Mum telling us about how she met her husband and how they are more in love now than they day they married. It set the tone for the weekend perfectly.
Vanessa and Andrew have just started on a new adventure in life and I am so pleased for them. They deserve every bit of happiness and success. They are a truly special couple who I am very pleased to call our friends. Thank you for taking such good care of us over the weekend and for the wonderful meal; it was out of this world!
Here is a rather large selection of some of my favourites. Vanessa and Andrew; I am over the moon that you love your photos, thank you for your wonderful feedback!
Samuel and I arrived in Geneva two days before the wedding which allowed us time to sneak in a few pre-wedding snaps of Vanessa and Andrew ahead of the big day. We were very fortunate and had the most amazing golden light. The reception was held in a Chateau surrounded by vineyards. Just perfect!A big thank you to Vanessa’s Mum and Dad (Malli and Fred) for helping with this dress shot and for making Samuel and me a chicken sandwich for lunch! What a ring…Vanessa surprised Andrew with a lovely card and a Polaroid which I snapped of them a few days before!Vanessa did her own makeup and she looked absolutely beautiful…as always!Vanessa’s Mum gave her earrings to wear on the day.Vanessa and her Mum decided to stitch some fabric from her Mum’s wedding dress onto her own dress. Such a lovely idea. The ceremony was held at this beautiful little white church. Guests arrived on a fun vintage bus!I love how excited their parents are!Their little flower girl was in awe of Vanessa!Their family helped to decorate Vanessa’s car for the send off. It looked great. Loved the tin cans!Vanessa’s Dad’s speech reminded me of my own Dad’s speech at my wedding. I was in floods of tears. It was a fantastic speech. Well done Fred! I love the way Andrew’s Dad is looking at his Mum. Although the weather had been kind to us in the run up to the wedding, it poured and poured on the day. Vanessa and Andrew didn’t let it bother them and continued to enjoy every minute of their day. Luckily we were able to do a Day After session in their wedding clothes to make the most of the amazing locations and I’ve also included these below. Yep they live around here…The room looked beautiful. I loved the mixture of watering cans and little pots on the table. Vanessa handmade this table plan after getting a carpenter to make the frame. It looked incredible! After the sun set and the drinks reception ended, Vanessa and Andrew were welcomed into the reception with sparklers. So much fun! There was so much emotion during the speeches. I laughed, I cried, they were fantastically well written. It’s clear that Vanessa and Andrew’s family and friends love them dearly.
Vanessa’s Mum who is originally from Iran did a little Persian marriage ritual for them. It was fantastic to watch. These two are now engaged too, congrats to them!Everyone headed outside in the dark and suddenly this cake appeared!Vanessa and Andrew, I wish you all the happiness in the world for your future together. Thank you for everything!
Feel free to leave some love for the happy couple! xx
