Engagement & Couple Photography
As a portrait and wedding photographer, I'm passionate about capturing authentic, timeless and romantic images. With a unique blend of fine art and documentary styles, I strive to create photos that tell a story. These relaxed couple portraits sessions are about capturing personal and meaningful images of you both, just as you are. Images that you can look back on and remember the way you were, the journey you have been on together, and the journey you are embarking upon.
Couples sessions are perfect in the run-up to your wedding to capture engagement portraits, for marking an anniversary, or to capture the anticipation of parenthood. These couples and pre-wedding shoots are a lovely opportunity for you to take some time out together, especially during your wedding planning. Many of my couples have expressed how these sessions were invaluable in relieving any nerves they had about being photographed on their wedding day, making the day even more seamless.
"Dominique was outstanding. With her relaxed approach, she calmly captured the most beautiful moments. We are forever grateful for her work, it’s art, and we look back on the most stunning images that we could have hoped for."

FAQ
When should engagement photos be taken?
It's great to take into account what season or setting you would like for your photos and if you are looking to use them for wedding stationary. If you would like to use your photos for your wedding website or wedding you will need to consider this when booking in your session. I am more than happy to advise on locations and timings.
What should I wear for an engagement photo shoot?
I always recommend wearing outfits that feel like you and those that you are comfortable in. Taking into account the type of setting can be helpful when choosing outfits, ensuring the style and colours fit with the environment. It may be out of place to wear high heels and a cocktail dress if the session is in a field of long grass, for example, whereas this would work well for an urban setting. It's also advisable to consider wearing outfits that correspond in terms of style and colour. I am always happy to chat this over with you and offer any advice, and feel free to send me any photos if you would like!
What is the best time for couple photoshoot?
If it is a sunny day, then a couple of hours before sunset is always a great time to shoot. This ensures we make the most of golden hour. If the weather is looking cloudy then we can shoot at any time. I will liaise with you ahead of the session to ensure we choose the best time.
